Bacon Jalapeño Cheeseburger Dip


Hamburger, bacon, cheese and peppers! That combination is just wrong but why is it oh-so-terribly gooooood? Why?!?!

This recipe is a love letter to my husband. He's a true fan of burgers. He tries to look at other entrees on the menu but when we eat out he usually ends up with a platter of 2 buns, a beef patty in the middle and a side order of fries. It's really fun to watch him enjoy a good burger, specially when the hamburger juice trickles down his palms and onto his arms. When he doesn't care about getting down and dirty with it, he's having the time of his life. And when he's smiling all throughout, that burger has definitely made it to top 5 of his list.

This is a burger that you're willing to share! This Bacon Jalapeño Cheeseburger Dip is just the thing you need to liven up that party with the boys.

Bacon Jalapeño Cheeseburger Dip


  • 1/4 kilo Ground beef
  • 10 bacon slices, cut in half-inch strips
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/8 tsp. cumin
  • 2 fresh Jalapeños, diced
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/3 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 4 oz. cream cheese
  • Salt and Pepper


  1. Preheat oven at 350 degrees F.
  2. Cook the bacon in a saute pan on medium-heat until bacon strips are crispy, transfer them into a bowl lined with paper towels.Reserve about 1 Tbsp. of the oil.
  3. In the same pan, saute onions and jalapeños for about 2 minutes, add the beef, cumin and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. In a stainless steel bowl, place the cream cheese, heavy cream, cheddar cheese (reserving some to top the dip with) and mozzarella cheese (reserving some to top the dip with) and mix with the cooked beef and bacon (reserving some to top the dip with).
  5. Transfer beef mixture in an oven-safe dish, top with the cheddar and mozzarella cheese that you set aside. Cover with foil.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes with foil on and another 10 minutes without the foil. It should be bubbly and brown on the sides.
  7. Top with bacon bits and serve hot with tortilla chips.
